A deal on some great undershirts! RibbedTee undershirts reviewed by Ask Andy.

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

We’re super pleased to be referred to as “an innovation in underwear” on the super popular Ask Andy About Clothes website and forums (The World’s Most Popular Website Devoted to Men’s Clothing Advice!).

If you’re a man, and haven’t heard about the Ask Andy About clothes website, you’ve got to check the site out. What started out as a hobby for site creator Andy Gilchrist, has turned into one of the web’s largest destinations devoted to providing advice on everything related to men’s clothing and fashions. Andy reserves a section of the site for information about products he’s personally reviewed, and the forums section is there for people to share, discuss, and debate about men’s fashion.

On Andy’s Recommendation page, he provides some really nice comments about the benefits of RibbedTee undershirts:

“it’s a unique combination of what’s great in a ribbed athletic tank undershirt with the traditional Tee, with an improvement on both!”

“You get the close fit, comfort and cooling effects of the ribbed fabric with a tee’s underarm perspiration and deodorant/anti-perspirant protection for your shirt.”

“It’s the perfect undershirt at a more than perfect price.”

We feel honored that Andy took the time to review our undershirts and we couldn’t be more pleased that he had such nice things to say about us. Thanks Andy, we really appreciate it!

What type of undershirt should I wear?

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

A reader on Men.Style.com asks Glenn the Style guy this question about what kind of undershirt to wear:

Q: I recently graduated from college, am entering the professional workforce, and can’t figure out which undershirt is appropriate with a suit—a wife-beater [a-shirt] or a regular variety. I live in Florida, and it’s hot; therefore, I like the feel of a wife-beater. But is it inappropriate to have it show through a white dress shirt?

A: One advantage of wearing an undershirt is that it absorbs perspiration, and the old spouse abuser doesn’t catch any underarm drip. I think you should wear a regular or V-neck undershirt or nada, no? In la vida loca de Florida, tank tops are outerwear.

Glen, we think that’s great advice {considering that question was asked back in 2006 when RibbedTee undershirts didn’t exist}.

Since our undershirts are made of the same light, cool fitted ribbed cotton that a-shirts (aka “wifebeaters”) are made of AND they have sleeves to provide underarm protection and will absorb perspiration, your readers (and everyone else) can get both of these benefits in one RibbedTee undershirt. One additional benefit of our undershirts is that we’ve specially designed the collar, sleeve, and bottom trims so they don’t show through your outerwear. They’re so versatile, you can wear them for almost any occasion.

So next time a reader asks you a question about what type of undershirt they should wear, be sure tell them about RibbedTee undershirts!

Wearing an undershirt – Craigslist ad (sorry we couldn’t resist)

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Today we ran across what seems to be an arbitrary (and pretty darn funny) Craigslist posting about wearing an undershirt.

Here’s what the ad says:

RE: Wearing an undershirt (The BIATCH)

There’s nothing worse than seeing a man all dressed up looking nice with a nice white dress shirt on…then when you get close, you see all their little chest hairs poking throught the shirt. It’s like seeing pubic hair of the chest. PLEASE wear an undershirt if you’re hairy!!!

We’ve emailed this poster to find out what inspired them to post the ad. Once (if) we hear back from them, we’ll post the reply here for everyone.

Hey Craigslist ad poster, you just might want to tell all those men about RibbedTee undershirts :) so you never have to look at those hairy chests again!
