Nichole’s Fairy Squeaks Blog Reviews RibbedTee Women’s V-Neck Tops

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Popular Blogger, Nichole Giles, authors several blogs including her Fairy Squeaks Blog which covers topics including travel, shopping, jewelry, LDS topics, and of course fashion. Her published works can be viewed in several children’s magazines including Highlights for Children, The Friend, and Boy’s Quest or at www.LDSWritersblogck.com.

Recently Nichole received an order of our new women’s RibbedTee v-neck tops and was kind enough to write up a review. The full review can be found in her blog post entitled RibbedTee Undershirts–For Men and Women. Here are some excerpts from her article:

As soon as I opened the package, I knew my RibbedTee was different from my other favorite undershirts. For one thing, they’re ribbed. Duh. But the 100% cotton fabric is oh-so-soft and very stretchy. Big points there. And then there is the neckline. I love undershirts like Shade, but I’ve got to be honest. Depending on the outfit, the neck on those ones is a lot of times too high or too round. RibbedTee offers a V-neck, which I LOVE.

The first day, I chose to wear it over the top of a plain white camisole, because—well, I thought it would be cute that way. It was long enough to cover all (with no risk of plumber’s crack), and I didn’t have a single problem with it riding up where it wasn’t supposed to go. The fabric felt heavenly against my skin, the ribbed texture slimming, and the V-neck was a nice change.

A lot of people complemented me on that top, and after running it through a wash and dry cycle, it still looks new and the fabric still feels soft. More points.

Also, I found it a fun, feminine addition to flirty, floating skirts and Capri pants. Under a cropped sweater, my RibbedTee enhanced my waistline and kept the sweater fabric from making me too itchy—because sometimes wool does that. As mentioned on the RibbedTee website, this top is comfortable enough to wear to bed—and it goes really well with my favorite Victoria’s Secret flannel pants. Talk about versatile!

Thanks so much Nichole! We really appreciate the nice comments and positive feedback about our new women’s RibbedTee tops. Best of luck with your blogs!

RibbedTee Undershirt Reviews from AskAndy Members

AskAndy forum members post positive reviews about RibbedTee Relaxed Fit and Enhanced Fit undershirts!

“Damn! Very soft and nice indeed… very long for me, but that was actually alright. Perfect! Thanks a lot..I’ll be looking to buy some more now!”

“I placed an order for the Enhanced Fit shirts on Sunday, it was shipped Monday, and in my hands today (Wednesday). Not a bad turn around! I normally wear an XXL in my regular shirts (some XL depending on brand, etc), but buy XL in Hanes so that I’d have an undershirt that fits a bit closer. I did the same with the RibbedTee.com shirts. And I have much, much less material! The ribbing of the shirt really seems to help it stick to my form. I’m 6′4″ and the extra long enhanced shirts (not the ones given away) seem to be a good length for me. Happy with my purchase, so far.”

“I agree with all the above. First impressions - soft, thin, long. I am 5′ 9″ 145 lbs.
“Test drive” this weekend - The shirt came down over half-way to my knees. Not a problem as it did not bunch-up when tucked inside pants. Most important to me is comfort. Once on, I forgot I was wearing it. That is my most critical test. Excellent! The thinness is a plus. Cool in warm environment, and lends itself well to layering with sweaters, topcoats, etc. when necessary. Thanks again, I would definitely recommend these tees.”

“And they’re great! I like the ribbed, it is light, non-constricting, any very comfortable.
The fit is a bit roomier than I would normally go for - I am 5′9″ 175 and got a medium - however, once I put my dress shirt on over it, it had no problems, and was comfortable all day. I still think I would order a small in the relaxed fit, or just stick with a medium in another fit.”

“Received mine over the weekend. So far so good, very soft, like the fit and length. Next challenge is to see how they hold up over washings.”

“Having had sufficient time to wear each of the Relaxed fit T’s and the Classic fits (I purchased) and with the wife having washed all four shirts, I am pleased to report complete satisfaction with the product…at this point. I was somewhat disappointed , when I first opened the package and discovered the shirts were made in China but, was very pleased by the gentle hand presented by the fabric and the very close, yet free and easy, fit of the rib-knit construction. The fit of the Ribbed Tee’s is such that they are virtually undetectable, even when worn under a form fitting knit shirt.”
“My wife’s reaction was a surprising, yet pleasant secondary benefit of the Ribbed Tee’s. She saw fit to comment on the way the way the shirt’s close fit “showcased my upper body” (that of it that I have left, at this age!) and she noted that the shirts looked as fresh and new coming out of the wash, as they did when we first pulled them from the packaging. ”
“Should the Ribbed Tee’s prove as durable as they are pleasing to the eye and to the hand, I will definitely be ordering more of Classic Fits.”

“Definite thumbs up over here. I’ve worn them for two days now. At first I thought I should have gotten XL because the fit was a little snugger than typical undershirts. (I’m a 6′ 3″, 220lb 46L with a 35″ waist, FWIW.) I could probably get away with XL, but L actually seems “correct” for me in this fit. They’re very comfortable. The length works out well for me–they reach just below the top of my legs but don’t bunch up when they’re tucked. Now, if you could just sell them in 12-count bags for $50 or so…
